Hugyaw sa Sayaw Season 4: Celebrating Women in Motion Through Dance
Iligan City, Philippines – September 2025– Ang City Mayor’s Office – Gender and Development (CMO-GAD), in cooperation with the Office of Councilor Michelle Sweet, proudly presents Hugyaw sa Sayaw Season 4: Women in Motion – Dance for Strength and Fun. The event will take place on September 14, 2025, at 1:00 p.m.sa Atrium, Robinsons Iligan.
Now on its fourth season, Hugyaw sa Sayaw continues its mission of showcasing dance as both an art form and a celebration of empowerment. The event will feature performers from barangays Sta. Filomena, Buru-un, Tipanoy, Tibanga, San Miguel, and Saray, as well as competition participants from Abuno, Pala-o, Tubod, and Tomas Cabili. With the theme Women in Motion, this year’s edition emphasizes unity, confidence, and inclusivity while promoting physical wellness and creative expression.
The program is guided by clear mechanics that encourage creativity, discipline, and empowerment. With strong support from Mayor Frederick Siao, Hugyaw sa Sayaw strengthens the city’s commitment to gender-responsive programs, wellness initiatives, and inclusive community development.
