Iligan Highlights Agricultural Pride at the National Cacao Congress 2025
Representatives from Iligan City’s Local Economic Development and Investment Promotions (LEDIP) Office joined the National Cacao Congress 2025 to exhibit the city’s finest local goods and agricultural innovations. The event, hosted at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino, served as a national platform for cities and municipalities to promote agricultural excellence and sustainable farming practices.
Iligan’s exhibit featured a variety of locally made cacao-based and agricultural products, emphasizing the city’s commitment to empowering local farmers and small enterprises. The display also captured Iligan’s cultural richness through its four tourism pillars: Nature, Tri-Culture, Adventure, and Gastronomy—an integrated representation of its brand identity, “Iligan: Majestic Waterfalls and Beyond.”

The 2025 congress theme, “The Science of Intercropping Coconut with Cacao… PLUS Cash Crops,” highlighted innovations in agricultural diversification.
