Iligan ICT Councils Invited to Join National Safety-by-Design Webinar for a Safer Digital Future
Lungsod ng Iligan, Pilipinas – Ang National ICT Confederation of the Philippines (NICP), in partnership with Development Gateway, is inviting ICT councils, local government ICT officers, and digital advocates nationwide to a Safety-by-Design (SbD) Overview Webinar happening on Thursday, October 16, 2025, mula sa 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM via Zoom.
This virtual session forms part of the National Models for Women’s Safety Online (NMWSO) initiative and introduces participants to the Safety-by-Design framework, which focuses on creating safer, more inclusive, and user-centered digital environments. The webinar will also discuss how SbD principles can be integrated into local ICT programs, governance systems, and innovation strategies to strengthen cybersecurity and digital trust at the community level.

Ang Safety-by-Design (SbD) Overview will feature resource speakers from Development Gatewayat NICP, who will:
- Introduce the core principles of Safety-by-Design, emphasizing proactive protection in digital systems.
- Brief ICT councils on the SbD Grand Challenge and its global impact on online safety.
- Explore how ICT councils in cities like Iligan can apply SbD concepts to public digital services, innovation programs, and community-based online safety campaigns.
